Create a new process
A new process is created in the Process Designer. it is possible to access it via the left navigation if there is the required permissions. Learn more about the navigation
Step 1: Create the process
- In the navigation, open the Process Designer.
- Click + New process.
- Complete the dialog for creating a process.
- Provide a name – e.g., “Review incoming invoices” – and save.
💡 Tip: it is possible to rename the process at any time later.
Step 2: Explore the modeling area
After saving, the BPMN editor opens with an empty process diagram:
- A start event and an end event are already included.
- The process is formally valid but does not do anything yet.
- It could be deployed it already – nothing would happen, though. Learn more about deployment
Editor layout at a glance
- Left side: Toolbox with available activities (user tasks, service tasks, gateways, and more). More about BPMN elements
- Right side: Properties panel that offers the relevant settings for the selected element. This is where the definition happens how an activity behaves.
- Center area: The process diagram where modeling happens flows via drag and drop.
Tip: Use templates (optional)
Pantarey allows importing ready-made process templates. They contain proven workflows (e.g., vacation request or invoice review) and can be adjusted with just a few clicks.
