Get to Know Pantarey
This chapter provides a basic introduction to Pantarey. It describes the areas of responsibility, structure, and key features of the application.
What is Pantarey?
Pantarey is a web-based application for modeling and running business processes as well as managing structured data.
The platform combines process management and data management in a single system. The goal is to streamline operations and store relevant information centrally.
Core features of Pantarey
- Design, run, and monitor processes.
- Create and manage data models.
- Manage and automate user tasks.
- Control access through permissions & roles.
- Use analytics and reporting features.
Pantarey is fully operated via a modern web interface and does not require a local installation.
Structure of Pantarey
Pantarey combines two central areas:
| Area | Description |
|---|---|
| Processes | Define how work steps are executed within the organization. |
| Data | Structured information that supports processes and is stored for later use. |
Important:
- Processes can access stored data (e.g., to make decisions based on records).
- Data is typically created as the result of executed processes (e.g., a new vacation request is stored as a record).
- Processes and data are closely linked yet clearly separated. This creates high flexibility because processes can be developed independently of pure data storage.
Data can also be evaluated systematically, for example to monitor business KPIs or to optimize processes.
Examples: Interaction of processes and data
1. Vacation request process
- An employee submits a vacation request (data entry).
- The process controls the approval steps.
- After completion the decision is stored as a structured record.
2. Automatic query process
- A time-controlled process (e.g. monthly) checks specific records, such as expiring contracts.
- Based on the data, decisions are made whether actions are necessary (e.g. initiating renewals).
3. Review of a record by a person
- A user receives the task to review an existing record (e.g. a customer inquiry).
- After processing, the record is updated and the status is adjusted.
Use cases
